The story.
Husband and wife winemaking team Bárbara Requejo and Guzmán Sánchez made their first vintage of Las Pedreras in 2021 from 3 hectares of dry-farmed, old-vine Garnacha in Villanueva de Ávila, centenarian Albillo Real, plus Tempranillo from Bárbara's home region of Roa de Duero. The Sierra de Gredos has become famous for its old-vine Garnacha. Theirs is planted 850-1,200 metres above sea level, meaning a long, slow ripening, a fresher style, and exceptionally pure fruit.
