The story.
Kewin - or Kéké to his mates - has Beaujolais in his blood. The son of Georges Descombes, scion of the fêted “Gang of Four” of Marcel Lapierre, Jean-Paul Thévenet & Jean Foillard, and half-brother to the correspondingly precocious Damien Coquelet, it was almost inevitable that Kéké would follow a similar path. His wines have all the pretty poise, acid and elegance you’d expect from such heritage, and a refinement, structure and confidence that belies his age. Farming is organic, intervention is minimally minimal. Still just in his twenties, Kéké is unambiguously one of the reinvigorated Beaujolais region’s brightest young talents.
