Sancerre

This dynamic estate in Alligny-Cosne, between Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, was founded by enterprising cooper Paulin Lebrun in 1921, selling his own barrels of wine to local cafés.

Nowadays Burgundian winemaker Marc Vappereau’s bottles can be found somewhat farther afield but remain true to his predecessors’ legacy: respectful of terroir and realising the potential of unheralded plots, or lieux-dits. Wines are sustainably farmed, organic or HVE.
