Cantina Massara

Cantina Massara is a historic family estate in Verduno, a village tucked in the northwestern corner of Barolo. The Burlotto family's winemaking history here stretches back to the 1850s, and today, fifth generation Gian Carlo Burlotto runs the estate, together with his son Gianluca and his daughter Claudia.

 

The estate makes world-class Barolo from Massara and Monvigliero crus - two of the village's most prized sites. They are also one of the few producers still producing Pelaverga, a rare local variety the village is particularly known for.
