A potted history.


The Okanagan Valley is awe-inspiring: technically desert conditions given the lack of rainfall, and a 120-mile chain of lakes with mind-boggling terroir diversity. Since their early days when fewer than a decade ago they were making just 168 cases per year, Christine Coletta and Steve Lornie have been leading the field for Okanagan and indeed British Columbian wines. Kiwi winemaker Matt Dumayne joined in 2013, while Chilean viticulturalist Pedro Parra has also been involved masterminding the planting of some very special vineyards.

The winery itself (above) overlooks Switchback Organic Vineyard. From here, their own wines - Haywire, Narrative, and Free Form - are made. Dumayne and his cellar team craft unadulterated wines using state-of- the-art concrete tanks and natural winemaking. It’s an inspirational story and range of ground-breaking, thrilling wines at the forefront of the Canadian scene.

Who are we?

In the summer of 2019, two small 7-year-old wine importers, Red Squirrel and The Knotted Vine, came together to become the Graft Wine Company.

​Our dynamic and experienced team is based across the UK and works with an intrepid, exciting collection of restaurants, bars, pubs, hotels, independent wine merchants.
