Zu Tisch Rot //​ Andreas Gsellmann

Zu Tisch ("to the table") Rot by Andreas Gsellmann exhibits sour cherry notes, wild herbs, red fruits and blackberry with a well integrated oak influence.

The fruit is sourced from a sloped vineyard at the top of the region in Neusiedlersee, on the Parndorfer plateau. Mainly sand with a high iron content, mixed with loam & limestone areas on top of the Danube River gravel that covers this whole region.

Blaufränkisch (70%)
​Sankt Laurent (30%)


Winemaking

Spontaneous fermentation in 500-litre oak barrels and stainless steel tank. Natural malolactic fermentation is allowed. This wine is matured in used 500-litre oak barrels for 15 months. There is minimal oak influence, instead the barrels are used to help integration of acidity and tannins.

In the summer of 2019, two small 7-year-old wine importers, Red Squirrel and The Knotted Vine, came together to become the Graft Wine Company.

​Our dynamic and experienced team is based across the UK and works with an intrepid, exciting collection of restaurants, bars, pubs, hotels, independent wine merchants.
